When a young child is particularly wriggly and/or wanting to escape, I try lying them on their backs – this can work well when photographing toddler subjects and their siblings.
Standing on the bed over the top of them as we giggle and tickle and bounce the bed a bit can work a treat. You only need 30 seconds to get some great shots!
And you don’t always have to use the bed – anywhere that allows you to easily stand above them works just fine!
